MiniFFC #52: MiniFFC Turns 10!

MiniFFC is short for Mini Form Function & Class. It is the smaller, more informal version of Form Function & Class, our annual web design conference where hobbyist & professional web designers can gather, share experiences, and mingle with fellow colleagues.

The event is open to everyone, students & professionals alike.

Accessible to people who are deaf and hard of hearing.

7:10 to 7:50 PM – Talk 1 – A very EPIC talk on Agile and UX

For a lot of tech and design professionals, Agile and UX seem to be a mismatch. But do they have to be? Regnard’s talk focuses on smoothening the work of Agile teams working with design, gleaning from his experience as a UX and Agile leader and practitioner.

7:50 to 8:00 PM – Question and Answer

8:00 to 8:40 PM – Talk 2 – Philippine Web Designers Organization as a Community

Kit and Shaira will talk about how Philippine Web Designers Organization has worked for the past 10 years. They will also share the membership process and how you can volunteer to organize a MiniFFC in your area, school or office.

About the Speakers

Regnard Raquedan the Co-Founder of ParentUp, a tech social enterprise that helps teenage mothers and pregnant youth via a toll-free SMS health and emotional support line.

As a technology and design professional, Regnard developed expertise in Agile leadership, UX Design and Digital Strategy while honing his craft at a variety of large enterprise and startup organizations. He is an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster and Certified Scrum Product Owner. Regnard also completed his UX Certification on Mobile and Omni-channel specialization with the Nielsen-Norman Group.

Based in Toronto, Canada, Regnard champions good product design and Agile practice. He believes that technology should be used to improve society and the lives of people.

Kit Valmadrid is Community Manager of the Philippine Web Designers Organization. Her actual day job at Globe Telecom is Change & Training Management Expert for Business Applications. In her free time, she loves to contribute to the Philippine Tech Community.

Shaira Distura is the Recruitment Manager for Philippine Web Designers Organization wherein she helps in recruiting members and processing their applications. She has also been a PWDO active volunteer since 2013, organizing both FFC and MiniFFC. Her actual day job is a full-time employee in an Auditing Firm in Shaw Blvd. Mandaluyong.
